The AQUA|STILL module concept can provide modules for Direct Contact MD, Liquid Gap MD and Vapour Gap MD (Air Gap MD). Each configuration can be adapted with maximum flexibility to optimize the customer’s quality needs.
Several different kind of membranes can be used depending on the water composition and the desired quality of the effluent. Changing the number of channels in the module provides a range of capacities with a membrane surface area that can range from 1 m2 to 120 m2 per module. The flexibility in terms of length and cross-flow velocity provides a system that can be adapted to obtain the best ratio between flux and the required thermal efficiency. The patented module concept means that MD creates possibilities in the fields of Forward Osmosis (FO), membrane contactors, and even separation technologies based on electric dialysis processes.

By installing several units next to each other, this provides great flexibility, reliability, and a high production capacity. The system can be quickly installed and expanded to suit customers’ needs.
